Book Cover.

This is my book cover. The book is called "Take Your Freedom" and is about a troubled young girl. I started by finding images on google that I thought went well together and slowly added them into the front cover picture. Each new picture was a new layer and I blended them each individually, and in a different way. After I was happy with the picture, I opened a new window and added in the photo, as well as the spine and back cover. I filled in each box with a different color taken from the original montage I made. I wrote the summary and a small quote from me (the author) and then added a barcode.

Photoshop Makeover.

This is an example of photoshop makeover. First I followed the basic protocols of photoshop including sharpening and brightness/contrast. Then I cleaned up the background with the stamp tool. Following that I made a new duplicate layer and applied the surface blur tool to even out the surface. To make sure some parts of the image were sharp, I turned down the opacity and flow of the erase tool and erased parts of the photo like the eyes and hair. After that I flattened the image and saved it to my computer.

September Light.

This picture is an example of a rule of thirds September light photo. The mountains are shadowed by the sun in the background. The angle of the camera allows some rays of the sun creep over Mount Bouchiere creating a dramatic morning fall image. I followed the protocols, put it into duotone and darkened the mountain a bit with the burn tool.
