Layers.

This photo was taken from my backyard. Its an example of a landscape photo, edited by using layers on photoshop. By using the burn and dodge tool you can make certain parts lighter or darker creating a dramatic effect.

    I like the brightness/darkness in this picture it really brings out the picture
